Project Linus: 1-2 nights per year the FCCLA members stay after school to make fleece blankets for children in need. For more information see the Project Linus website. http://www.projectlinus.org/

Project Warmth: GEHS FCCLA has collected over 100 coats and blankets to help people in need to survive the cold winter months. http://www.projectwarmthkc.com/

Operation Breakthrough: GEHS FCCLA raised over 750 dollars that they used to buy toys for children who would have had no gifts to open on Christmas morning. http://www.operationbreakthrough.org/

Trick or Treat for Canned Goods: Students stood outside Price Chopper all day on a Saturday to collect more than 1,200 non-perishable items for the Gardner Multi-Service Center food pantry.

Have a Heart for Judy Hart: FCCLA sells Valentines for $1 and gives the proceeds to Judy Hart, who is a GEHS graduate that was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth and has had multiple lung transplants. Then FCCLA students bake sugar cookies and deliver the cookies and valentines to students who bought them.

Ronald McDonald House: We visit the Rhonald McDonald house 2-3 times per year to help provide meals, do activities with the children and families, and help with chores or anything else they need.

Harvesters: FCCLA visits Harvesters to volunteer in the warehouse, put together weekend BackSnacks, etc.

Adopt a Kid: Every year GEHS FCCLA adopts a less fortunate child during the holiday season to buy gifts for. We provide them with some clothing, some toys, and other things that they may enjoy doing.

Pink Out For Gorney/'GE Fights for Gorney' Shirts: Ashley Gorney is a Spanish teacher at Gardner Edgerton who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October 2015. FCCLA sold glowsticks at the school's annual Pink Out football game to raise money for Ashley and the Gorney family. Also to help the Gorney family out, FCCLA partnered with the GEHS Club, FEA (Future Educators of America), to sell 'GE Fights for Gorney' t-shirts.
